Lingard, who left Nottingham Forest as a free agent in June 2023, embarked on a fresh chapter in his career by joining the South Korean club in February this year.
Adjusting to life in a new league and country presented its challenges for Lingard, who faced unfamiliar conditions and cultural differences. Adding to the difficulty, the 30-year-old suffered a knee injury just a month after signing with the club, which required surgery and a period of rehabilitation.

Lingard emerged as a key player in Seoul's setup and ended up with six goals and three assists in 26 appearances. He even made a goal contribution in the final match over Gimcheon Sangmu, which culminated in a decisive 3-1 victory, helping Seoul secure a commendable fourth-place finish.
