After going relatively unnoticed since their return to the French top flight in 2013, Monaco have rapidly emerged as one of the most exciting young sides in European football.
Domestically, Leonardo Jardim’s side have scored a stunning 84 goals in Ligue 1 this term – far more than any team in the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga or Bundesliga – and they demonstrated their attacking prowess in the first leg of their Champions League tie against Manchester City, netting thrice in an eight-goal thriller.
The average age of Monaco’s starting XI that night was just 25 and it will bear a similar complexion for the return leg in France on Wednesday evening.
Inevitably, Monaco’s youthful rabble has created plenty of interest outside of France, with copious Premier League fans licking their lips at the prospect of one of its members joining their club within the next few transfer windows.
So with that in mind, Chelsea fans, who should your supporter comrades be keeping an eye out for when Monaco face the Citizens? Let us know by voting below!
