According to reports in The Sun on Sunday, Liverpool are keen to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in the summer, if he turns down a new contract offer from the Gunners, and Reds fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
The Sun on Sunday says that the north London outfit have offered the 26-year-old a new deal worth £90,000-a-week, but he would be taking a pay cut if he agreed to the new terms.
The report adds that any new contract will be based on appearances and his performances, with Klopp ready to match Arsenal’s offer in order to bring the England international to Merseyside as he believes the midfielder could be the ideal replacement for Juventus target Emre Can.
Liverpool supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the story, and while one said “on his day he’s borderline world class”, another disagreed and said he is “the most overrated midfielder of the last 10 years”.
