Napoli attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi has reportedly had a bust-up with the club’s outspoken chairman Auerlio de Laurentiis, and is now ready to leave the Italian club, according to The Daily Mail.
The Argentina international has been in sensational form both in Serie A and the Champions League this term, starring against both Chelsea and Manchester City in Europe’s top tournament.
With the highly-rated forward being tracked by some of the top clubs in the continent, the Premier League duo have identified the South American hitman as one of their top summer transfer targets.
The newspaper indicate that Napoli may well be willing to sell Lavezzi, but want around £28 million to release him from his current contract.
Whether Manchester City will be in the market for another forward this summer remains to be seen, as Carlos Tevez has since pledged his future to the Citizens leaving Chelsea in the box seat for the talented Argentine’s signature.
