Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills believes that current Whites sensation Jack Clarke should be sold to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, per Football Insider.
What’s he said?

Clarke has been continually linked with a move to Spurs after making his breakthrough at Elland Road this season.
The 18-year-old made 25 appearances in all competitions in 2018/19, scoring two goals and registering two assists as Marcelo Bielsa’s side were beaten in the play-offs by Derby County.
A separate Football Insider report claims that Spurs have already tabled a bid for the teenager and Mills believes that the club should allow the deal to happen, as he sees it benefitting the club’s push for promotion next season.
He said: “I’m sure there are talks, and agents involved, there’s no doubt that Tottenham want to sign Clarke. The agents will be looking to get the fees up, the wages up and other clubs involved.
“If the deal is right for Leeds, I wouldn’t be averse to it happening. I don’t think it would be the best deal for Jack Clarke and for his future, as he wouldn’t play much at Tottenham. They have so many top players who would be in front of him.
“But if Leeds sell Clarke and get a very good fee, and use that to enhance the squad and have a better team to get promotion, that’s not a bad deal.
“As long as the money is spent on replacements of good quality, it might not be a bad deal.”
Mills nails it
This could end up being a good deal for both parties.
Spurs love signing players who can develop and grow under Mauricio Pochettino, while Leeds may not feel that they are losing a truly indispensable talent for a major fee.
Indeed, Clarke was only involved in the starting XI in the Championship four times under Bielsa and the money could be effectively reinvested.
Spurs, though, would be signing a player with a high ceiling and the prospect of growing into an England international in north London.
Mills is right to point out that he is unlikely to go straight into the starting XI but the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Winks have proved that if you’re good enough at Spurs, you’re old enough.
This may be one of the rarest things in football: A win-win for both the buying and the selling club.
